"Poetry Of Dawn" is a moment I experienced at Lake Mattamuskeet in North Carolina, arriving before sunrise and watching the first light begin to build slowly along the horizon. The lake was completely still, and the sky transitioned gradually from deep blue into soft gold, with the color spreading evenly across the water as the light strengthened.
The conditions were quiet and stable — no wind, no disturbance on the surface — allowing the reflection to hold almost perfectly. The silhouettes of distant trees along the horizon added just enough structure to ground the scene.
