"Prismatic Soul" is a moment I experienced in New Hampshire during peak autumn, standing along the edge of a quiet pond where the surface was just still enough to hold a layered reflection of the surrounding forest. What drew me in was how the vertical lines of trees and the scattered color of leaves began to break apart in the water, turning a recognizable scene into something more abstract.
The conditions were subtle — no wind, soft light filtering through the trees, and just enough movement in the water to gently distort the reflection without losing its structure. I had to pay close attention to timing and framing, letting the patterns settle before capturing the image.
